Orchestrations & Vocal Arrangements
Roy George is a native of Syracuse, New York where he studied classic piano, vocal and jazz piano. While in Syracuse he learned how to music direct at an early age. Roy has traveled around the country singing, playing piano, arranging and creating art in High Schools, Churches and at the Collegiate level. Roy has been educating in the musical theatre world and vocal performance world for over 15 years.
Over the past 15 years, Roy has lived in various places and recently moved from Norfolk, Virginia where he was a pianist at a local church and worked in 3 colleges music directing and giving lessons for them. Roy also worked at Virginia Stage company for 4 seasons and some of his arrangements can be heard in their production of A Christmas Carol. With a full holiday album and 1 single under his belt -available on all streaming platforms- Roy hosts an industry podcast called “Triple Threats & Beyond”. The podcast has hosted Emmy, Grammy. Tony, and Academy award winners and nominees from various levels of the industry.
Roy recently moved to New York City where he is a music director, vocal coach, rehearsal pianist and more. Roy finds himself between music directing, mentoring, playing auditions, arranging and hosting, he also finds time to music direct works at 54 Below, French Woods Festival for the Performing Arts and being a fierce advocate for individuals with Chronic Illnesses.
